By hiding part of my head, I create a sense of mystery.

About Paul

I live in Brooklyn on 9th St. near the Smith & 9th St. Subway stop on the F line. Gary Benchley, Rock Star is my first novel.

I grew up in West Chester, Pennsylvania and went to the Milton Hershey School in Hershey, Pennsylvania and Alfred University in Alfred, New York. I have wanted to be a writer since I was five years old; both of my parents are writers.

I have messed around with computers and prose for many years, as evidenced by my occasionally autobiographical, half-million-word, eight-year-old website, Ftrain.com, and my work for Harper's Magazine, where I am an associate editor and the author of the Harper's Magazine Weekly Review. Sometimes I read pieces I've written on NPR's All Things Considered. I am also a contributing writer for The Morning News, where Gary Benchley, Rock Star was born and grew into his current form.

I was born in 1974 and right now I am 31. My girlfriend of many years is named Maureen. I welcome all feedback, positive or negative.
